What Revdrift processes
To operate the app, Revdrift processes a merchant’s Shopify shop domain, app-session identifiers, permitted staff identifiers, product and variant details, merchant-entered costs and rules, and order-level commercial data needed for margin checks: order identifier, order name, currency, source, tags, line-item product and price data, and discount codes.
Revdrift is designed not to retain customer contact details, shipping or billing addresses, payment-card data, Shopify payment transactions, or the full raw Shopify order webhook. The app stores a minimized order record needed for its margin calculation and audit trail.
Why we use it
We use this information to provide margin checks, findings, optional order tags and fulfillment review holds, notifications, account support, security, and billing and usage administration. Revdrift does not sell merchant or customer information.
Service providers
Revdrift uses Shopify to provide the app connection, Google Cloud to run and store the service, and may use Resend for merchant email notifications and Slack for merchant-configured alerts. A Slack incoming-webhook URL is stored in Google Secret Manager and is deleted when a merchant disconnects Slack or uninstalls the app.
Retention and deletion
Merchant operational data is retained while the app is installed so the merchant can review its findings and settings. When Shopify sends a shop-redaction request, Revdrift deletes the merchant’s application data, sessions, notification configuration, and stored Slack secret. Customer data requests and customer-redaction requests are completed from Revdrift’s minimized data boundary; Revdrift does not maintain customer contact, address, or payment records.
